“We wanted a classic English Summer Wedding with a fun modern twist that incorporated elements of my Russian heritage.
I wanted a venue that would be beautiful for a Summer wedding with lots of natural light, unique architecture and landscapes that would provide a stunning background for our photos. We fell in love with Syon Park; having exclusive use of the venue made it feel extra special.
I chose a palette of soft blush pinks, ivories and fresh, minty greens with metallic accents of silver and gold. Getting married in July we wanted our wedding to feel summery and light, while also being sophisticated and glamorous
My cakemaker and I designed a bespoke cake together. We combined aspects of the architecture of Syon House and its conservatory, our stationery monogram, the Faberge egg wedding favours, lace in my dress, the flowers and many other little touches to create this cake.
Walking down the aisle with my mother was such an emotional moment. Seeing all our guests beaming and my husband to be at the end of the aisle was just magical.
My top tip: Don’t try to do everything. Although it is really rewarding seeing everything come together on the day it is also nice to have some aspects of the day be a surprise.”
